e 3rd annual Lake George Mom Prom will be held Saturday April 9th 2016 at Dunham’s Bay Resort in Lake George. Dig up your old gowns or trade new gowns with a friend and join us for a night of fun & laughter while raising money for our charities. Charity # 1: Wait House-Welcoming Adolescents in Transition, helping local youth.
Charity # 2: The Pumpkin Fund-helping animals in our communities.
Charity # 3: BEN OSBORN MEMORIAL FUND-giving kids a little lift, supporting youth with “need.”
Appetizers will be served and 2-3 cash bars will be available. Although more seating options are being added, please note this is a cocktail seating event and there will not be reserved seating. Tickets include admission to mom prom, DJ entertainment, photo booth and photography, and appetizers. Cash bar available. Overnight rooms available by calling the resort at 656-9242. Mom Prom was created in 2006 in Canton, MI by Betsy Crapps. The first Mom Prom was held at St. Thomas a’Becket Catholic Church. It is a ladies night out for charity in which women wear their old prom gowns, bridesmaids dresses, or wedding gowns. It is a real prom with a DJ, contests, raffles and a game to crown the new queen. This is a wonderful, hilarious night in which women can dance the night away, have fun with friends, and help a worthy cause.We hope to have ladies groups from across the country create their own proms, raising money for charities that are close to their hearts.
